silver ridge, 2 house o' hill surpassed our expectations. neil, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and provided us with all the information we needed. the cozy cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable break, and the location was perfect for quiet walks and stargazing. the pub next door served excellent food and had a friendly atmosphere.

He provided us with a warm welcome and even showed us how to use the cozy log burner. the cottage itself was well-equipped, with a brilliant little stove that warmed up the entire place. We were impressed with the abundance of hot water and appreciated Neil's instructions on how to boost it if needed. the nearby pub looked inviting, although it was fully booked during the busy bank holiday weekend. the garden was a pleasant surprise, with beautiful small trees attracting a variety of birds. a perfect location for exploring Forest Park and climbing the Merrick.

We particularly enjoyed the peaceful and quiet surroundings, perfect for long walks with our dog. The secure back garden was a bonus for our furry friend. Despite a few minor cleanliness issues and a small kitchen, our overall experience was fantastic.
